American-Cuban singer and songwriter Camila Cabello, known as former member of Fifth Harmony, is about to start the promotion of her awaited full-length solo debut album, which is called “The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving.“, and it’s expected to be launched sometime this year via Epic Records.
The lead single “Crying In the Club” will be available on digital retailers and streaming services on May 19th. It was written by Camila herself along David Frank, Benjamin Levin, Nathan Perez, Sia Furler, Pamela Sheyne, Stephen Kipner and Magnus August Høiberg.
The production is signed by Matt Beckley, Benny Blanco, Happy Perez and Cashmere Cat, and it also includes an interpolation of Christina Aguilera’s classic “Genie In a Bottle“, launched back in 1999.
The result isn’t good at all. Well, it’s a classic Sia track, and if you like Sia, of course, you will love this song. Unfortunately, there’s nothing original on it. The single doesn’t even sound like Camila and it’s a little outdated. Where’s that cuban-influenced sound?
Unfortunately, the track surfaced online via TIDAL before its proper release on May 18th. The official music video, which was directed by Emil Nava, arrived on May 19th and included another track “I Have Questions“.
